Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our construction project finances. The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting, cost management, financial reporting, and compliance for complex infrastructure projects. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive construction management experience, adept at managing teams, coordinating schedules, and ensuring projects adhere to regulatory standards. As a key member of our team, you will drive financial strategy, optimize project profitability, and support project leadership in achieving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project to ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Lead project teams in construction schedule coordination, ensuring alignment with project plans and schematics.
• Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and contracts to support accurate cost estimation and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations and safety standards across all projects.
• Utilize tools like ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, and Construction management software to monitor project progress and manage documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Oversee the development of detailed construction estimates and bid proposals using HeavyBid and other estimating tools.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, schedules, and regulatory compliance records.
• Lead efforts in project cost management by analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Supervise teams involved in project coordination, schedule updates, and financial tracking to ensure seamless communication across all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on finance or controlling roles within heavy civil or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software like HeavyBid; familiarity with Bluebeam, ProCore, Civil 3D is highly desirable.
• Extensive understanding of construction regulations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent skills in contract management, project scheduling, cost control, and budget management.
• Experience managing teams within a construction management environment; strong leadership capabilities are essential.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
• Knowledge of project management software platforms for seamless project coordination and reporting.

Pay: $93,902.50 - $113,086.88 per year
