As we continue to grow and strengthen our impact, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our leadership team. This key role will oversee the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. The Controller will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, providing strategic insights to support executive decision-making, and driving operational excellence to advance our mission and long-term sustainability

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Oversee general ledger and close process
• Manage AP, AR, payroll, and cash flow
• Develop budgets and forecasts
• Maintain strong internal controls
• Coordinate audits and tax filings
• Partner with leadership on financial strategy

Leadership Expectations

• Provide financial insights that guide business decisions and long-term strategy
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, building a high-performing team
• Establish clear goals, monitor performance, and ensure high standards
• Partner with other departments to align financial goals
• Lead system upgrades, process improvements, and organizational change
• Maintain integrity, transparency, and compliance in all financial activities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to administer private, nonprofit service organizations, including an understanding of the legal responsibilities and constraints of such organizations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with federal, state, regional, and local agencies, community leaders, and the general public.
• Knowledge of the philosophy of IDD and current concepts on IDD.
• Knowledge of available public and private resources and services for the IDD.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to aging and related services.
• Knowledge of modern principles, methods, and techniques of administration and program planning.
• Ability to obtain and manage external grants and contracts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of controller experience
• Leadership experience required

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
