Controller

Duties of the Controller position include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements;
• Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets in partnership with the GM (if applicable), department heads, and Board of Directors;
• Monitor monthly budget variances, analyze operational performance, and recommend corrective actions;
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger entries, and inventory accounting;
• Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly employee payroll and file associated tax returns;
• Administer and manage employee benefits administration (such as health insurance and 401k plans) in coordination with HR;
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, sales tax filings, and workers' compensation reporting;
• Maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets;
• Coordinate annual financial audits and corporate tax filings with external certified public accountants (CPAs);
• Attend monthly Finance Committee and Board of Directors meetings to present financial summaries; advise department heads on financial performance and cost controls;
• Evaluate new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and capital project feasibility;
• POS maintenance, minor IT work, and coordinating IT repairs, improvements and cybersecurity needs.

Compensation: $85,000-100,000/year Salary, bonus potential, paid vacation; 401(k) with match and health care plan participation available.
