Controller

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to oversee our organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, review work prepared by the finance team, and communicate complex financial information clearly to management. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting informed decision-making at all levels of the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including ledger management, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Review work prepared by the finance team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly financial reports to provide insights into the company’s financial health.
• Tell a compelling story about the financial reports to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
• Lead efforts in process improvements for financial operations and reporting efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience in financial management or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience reviewing work prepared by team members.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Effective storytelling skills to present financial reports in a clear and engaging manner to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
