Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our construction project finances. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction management, cost control, and project financials. As a Controller, you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and project cost management across complex infrastructure projects. Your expertise will drive financial accuracy, support project teams, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Duties

• Manage and oversee all accounting functions related to construction projects, including cost tracking, budget development, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with project managers to develop accurate project schedules using Primavera P6, Procore, and other project management software.
• Monitor construction budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to keep projects financially on track.
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations by reviewing plans and documentation such as blueprints and construction plans.
• Lead the preparation of detailed construction estimates utilizing HeavyBid, Civil 3D, and other estimating tools to support project bids and proposals.
• Supervise teams involved in project coordination, schedule management, and cost control to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Oversee construction regulatory compliance by reviewing contracts, permits, and ensuring adherence to local codes and safety standards.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite extensively for reporting, data analysis, and documentation purposes.
• Conduct regular reviews of construction schedules for accuracy and timely updates; coordinate schedule adjustments as needed for project milestones.
• Manage procurement processes by reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and ensuring proper documentation in Prolog or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management or financial oversight within the commercial or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Prolog, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling, blueprint reading, contract administration, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex infrastructure projects from inception through completion with a focus on cost control and schedule adherence.
• Experience managing teams in a construction management role with excellent leadership skills in project coordination and communication.
• Deep understanding of construction regulations and safety standards applicable to large-scale projects.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills for cost management analysis; adept at managing budgets and financial reporting processes.
