Job Title: Controller

Job Overview:

We are looking for a controller, to perform duties as a senior-level accounting manager who oversees daily financial operations, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting for an organization.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements, and GAAP-compliant financial reports.

Department Oversight: Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and general ledger staff.

Internal Controls: Develop and monitor internal procedures to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risk.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in creating operating budgets, analyze variances, and monitor cash flow.

Tax & Audits: Coordinate internal and external audits and manage local, state, and federal tax compliance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required

Experience: Typically requires 7 to 10+ years of progressive accounting and management experience.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in GAAP, ERP systems (like Oracle NetSuite, SAP), and financial analytics tools.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication.

Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 annually, DOE

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with government agencies
• Act as the point of contact for external auditors
• Maintain internal books and finances Analyze financial transactions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
