Controller

Summary: The Controller leads and directs all accounting operations for company. This role ensures full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and overseeing financial reporting, audit readiness, internal controls, and team leadership. The Controller is a key strategic partner responsible for upholding financial integrity, legal compliance, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Financial Reporting

• Responsible for all accounting-related activities required to produce monthly financial statements, adhering to GAAP.
• Ensure that the balance sheet fairly reflects the assets and liabilities of company, including all subsidiary entities. Review the balance sheet monthly and perform reconciliations of all accounts in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee all journal entries recorded in the accounting system, ensuring compliance with GAAP and appropriate supporting documentation.
• Maintain a focused system of internal controls to ensure effective and efficient oversight of assets, liabilities, revenue, and costs, in compliance with company policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of experience as a Controller.
