Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our construction projects. This pivotal role involves overseeing budgeting, cost management, project financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to construction regulations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive construction management experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong command of project scheduling and financial software tools. As a key member of our team, you will drive financial strategies that support successful project delivery and organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of construction project budgets, including cost estimation, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and other project management software to ensure timely project completion.
• Lead project teams in managing complex infrastructure projects by aligning financial goals with project timelines and scope.
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations and safety standards across all projects.
• Review construction plans, contracts, and change orders to maintain budget integrity and contractual adherence.
• Utilize construction management software such as Prolog and HeavyBid to monitor project progress and financial health.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate construction schedules and facilitate effective project coordination.
• Conduct regular audits of construction costs, schedules, and regulatory compliance to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Manage teams involved in construction management roles, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support project leadership by providing detailed financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic insights for decision-making.

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Prolog, HeavyBid, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong background in construction estimating, budget management, and cost control for commercial infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans accurately.
• In-depth knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Skilled in project scheduling, construction schedule coordination, and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent team management skills with experience managing diverse teams within a fast-paced construction environment.
• Exceptional time management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong understanding of contracts, change orders, and legal considerations in the construction industry.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating among stakeholders including contractors, clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Pay: $26.00 - $50.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in San Francisco, CA 94103
