Controller

Our client, an established and growing organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting, financial reporting, tax, and internal control functions. This senior leadership role will work closely with executive management to ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong technical expertise, experience in complex or multinational environments, and a proven ability to develop teams and improve financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage domestic and international tax compliance, planning, and reporting in coordination with external advisors.
• Oversee internal and external audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Direct treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
• Provide oversight of credit and collections functions, including credit risk management and accounts receivable performance.
• Manage multi-entity accounting operations and coordinate financial reporting across international business units.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and financial systems enhancements.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, organizational growth, and financial planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA designation required.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Previous Controller or comparable senior accounting leadership experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong experience with domestic and international tax compliance.
• Experience within a multinational organization or complex multi-entity environment preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage accounting teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
