The Opportunity

Our client, an Atlanta based family office and seeking an experienced Controller, CPA to join their team.

This is a newly created position offering a unique opportunity to join this organization. You will serve right hand to the CFO .

The family office will oversee a substantial real estate portfolio and multiple privately held operating companies .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close across multiple entities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, including complex revenue recognition principles.
• Establish accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
• Manage and maintain banking relationships.
• Oversee financial activities for real estate investments and portfolio companies.
• Partner directly with the CEO on financial and operational decisions.
• Build, lead, and develop the accounting function as the family office grows.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Strong foundation in public accounting and audit, combined with private industry experience.
• Excellent technical accounting, GAAP, and revenue recognition expertise.
• Experience managing complex, multi-entity accounting environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build processes and take ownership.

Compensation & Opportunity

$190,000–$225,000 Base Salary plus incentives
