Corporate Controller

Location: Bedford, MA | Hybrid

Compensation: $165,000–$250,000 + bonus potential

A growing, private-equity-backed consumer products company is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead its accounting, financial reporting, and controllership functions. This is a high-visibility opportunity for an experienced accounting leader to partner with executive leadership and financial sponsors while helping scale the finance organization.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical accounting foundation, experience in a manufacturing or consumer products environment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee consolidated financial statements, accounting policies, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Direct cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory reserve processes.
• Manage financial reporting and covenant compliance for lenders, including preparation for quarterly lender discussions.
• Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, and profitability initiatives.
• Prepare financial analyses, EBITDA reporting, and supporting materials for executive leadership and financial sponsors.
• Oversee external audits, tax coordination, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
• Support acquisitions, integration activities, financial due diligence, and other strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while collaborating across finance, operations, and other business functions.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Background in consumer products, CPG, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience in a private-equity-backed, high-growth, or leveraged business environment.
• Familiarity with lender reporting, debt covenant compliance, and cash flow management.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, financial due diligence, or transaction readiness.
• Public accounting experience with a Big Four or national firm preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and business-partnering skills.

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office and Fridays remote.
