Run your own show

Our longtime controller is retiring, and we're looking for the next person to own finance at Eagle Point.

This isn't a role with layers of approvals. You'll report directly to the CEO and sit on the senior leadership team alongside the VP of Operations and the VP of Business Operations. You'll set finance's priorities, choose the tools, and decide how the work gets done, with the CEO's ear and the latitude to act on it.

What you'll own

About half of this role is data and reporting. The other half is running a clean, disciplined finance function. You'll lead a team of three that handles day-to-day A/R, A/P, and transactional entries, so your time goes to judgment, analysis, and building.

Data, systems, and reporting

• Build and own the semantic models and Power BI dashboards that operations leaders use to run their teams, working with a data engineering partner who manages the RFMS-to-Microsoft Fabric pipelines and lakehouse.
• Deliver KPIs, recurring reporting, and ad hoc analysis that answer the questions operations is actually asking.
• Find manual work and automate it, including owning the bots that run our accounting processes.
• Serve as the business owner for our ERP and field-mobile systems.

Close, reporting, and margin insight

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results that leadership trusts, with the "why" attached.
• Review the balance sheet and make sure the ERP, general ledger, and subledgers tie out every month.
• Run the monthly job-margin review: pull the data, flag the outlier houses, and lead the conversation with city operations teams on what drove the variance.
• Own revenue and cost cutoff, accruals, payroll accounting, and monthly bank covenant reporting.

Planning and cash

• Own the annual operating budget and the company's cash flow forecast.
• Control bank access and release ACH and wire payments; you are the last line of defense on money movement.

Tax and compliance

• Manage Texas sales tax, franchise tax, and property tax, including renditions and appraisal hearings when needed.
• Coordinate annual federal and state returns with our outside CPA firm and oversee 1099 accuracy.
• Lead workers' compensation and general liability premium audits with our insurance carriers.

Team leadership

• Lead, develop, and cross-train a team of three accounting professionals.
• Set priorities, balance workloads, and give every team member a real growth path.

What you bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years as a Controller. You've already sat in the controller's chair and owned the close and the financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with sales and use tax, franchise tax, property tax, and financial reporting.
• Strong Power BI skills and an intuitive grasp of ERP data: tables, joins, and where the numbers actually live.

Ideally

• CPA.
• SQL and experience with Microsoft Fabric or a similar data platform.
• Experience with RFMS or another industry ERP.
• Ownership of a budget and a cash flow forecast.
• Construction or contractor background. It's not required; a sharp controller picks up job-cost accounting quickly.

• Base salary of $160,000 to $180,000.
