Controller

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks to support the financial operations of our organization. Accounting experience in the construction industry is desired. Experience with Foundation for Construction Software is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and profit and loss statements.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions

• Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure proper recording of financial data

• Assist with the preparation of journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

• Support the preparation of financial reports for management review

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

• Provide assistance during external audits and ensure accurate documentation of financial records

• Oversee Payroll

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Proficiency in using accounting software...Experience with Foundation for Construction Software preferred
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
