  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, net worth statements, and reporting for family members, trustees, and senior leadership.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and cash positioning to support investment activity, capital commitments, and distributions.
  • Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial close processes.
  • Monitor investment activity across private credit, real estate, and other alternative assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Design and implement accounting policies, reporting procedures, and financial controls.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors, estate planning attorneys, trustees, and other professional partners.
  • Oversee banking activities, wire transfers, and cash management controls.
  • Support the implementation of accounting and investment reporting systems.
  • Provide oversight to junior accounting personnel while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA highly preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a family office, private investment firm, asset manager, or similar multi-entity environment.
  • Investment Knowledge: Strong understanding of alternative investments, particularly private credit, real estate, and complex investment structures.
  • Accounting Expertise: Extensive experience with general ledger accounting, financial statements, consolidations, and internal controls.
  • Financial Reporting: Proven ability to manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and financial reporting across multiple entities.
  • Leadership: Ability to build and manage accounting functions while remaining hands-on with day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, trustees, and external advisors.
  • Cultural Fit: Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a close-knit, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Location: Denver, Colorado. Primarily in-office in Cherry Creek, with flexibility as needed.
