About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Controller to own accounting operations, cash management, financial controls and audit readiness for a fast-growing wellness and consumer products brand selling across DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop and major national retailers.

This is not a hands-off oversight role: you'll own everything from individual transactions through audited financial statements, working closely with executive leadership to deliver accurate reporting and stronger controls.

You'll build the cash forecasting, controls and audit processes that prepare the business for its next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, reconciled weekly against actuals.
• Forecast cash across DTC, subscriptions, Amazon, TikTok Shop and retail receivables.
• Flag cash constraints early and recommend actions on payment timing, vendor terms and credit.
• Manage banking, corporate card and payment processor relationships and daily cash reconciliations.
• Monitor working capital, including retail receivables, deductions and chargebacks.
• Lead the annual financial statement audit from planning through completion.
• Resolve audit findings and keep the business audit-ready all year.
• Design and implement internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval matrices.
• Set and enforce policies for expenses, corporate cards, purchasing, vendors and revenue recognition.
• Review monthly expenses and partner on budget-versus-actual and variance analysis.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller at a high-growth consumer products, CPG or e-commerce company.
• Active CPA license or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading a financial statement audit from the company's side to a clean opinion.
• Experience building and running a 13-week cash flow forecast to guide decisions.
• Experience designing and implementing internal controls from the ground up.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, especially inventory and COGS, multi-channel revenue recognition and retail trade deductions.
• Experience overseeing outsourced accounting, AR/AP or finance service providers.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to trace transactions to support.
• Strong judgment, independence and communication with executive leadership.

Nice-to-Have

• Big Four or national audit firm experience.
• Experience preparing a business for a sale, PE investment or quality-of-earnings review.
• Multi-entity and cross-border (US and Canada) accounting or consolidation.
• Experience with major retail accounts, including deduction and chargeback recovery.
• Inventory accounting with third-party manufacturers and 3PLs.
