Controller – E-Commerce / Accounting & Finance

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to manage our accounting operations, financial reporting, and financial controls.

This is an individual-contributor position with no direct reports. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on accounting work, is proficient in QuickBooks, and is comfortable working independently in a technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile marketplace sales, payments, fees, and refunds.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory valuation.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance.
• Review transactions from automated systems integrated with QuickBooks.
• Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to company management.
• Coordinate with external accountants and tax professionals.

• Requirements
• Strong background in financial report writing, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, GAAP, and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cost control measures effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clear financial reports for diverse stakeholders.
