Controls Engineer

We're seeking to connect a Senior Systems Engineer with a leading company in the defense and advanced electromechanical systems industry on a full-time basis. This onsite opportunity is located in Santa Barbara, California . As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll join a collaborative engineering team developing mission-critical technologies supporting next-generation defense platforms.

**Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify advanced electro-mechanical systems.
• Develop control algorithms and dynamic system models using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Define hardware and software interfaces across complex subsystems.
• Support laboratory and field testing while analyzing system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Produce technical documentation and provide engineering leadership throughout development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with emphasis in Control Systems, Signal Processing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of systems engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, signal processing, and dynamic modeling.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and electro-mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Expected Pay and Benefits:
