Controls Technician

One of ourclients is looking for a skilled Controls Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment at their North Vernon, IN facility.

**Pay Rate:**55k-65k

**Shift:**2nd shift

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled production equipment and automated systems
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation and electrical equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical documentation
• Install, configure, and test electrical control panels, sensors, motors, and instrumentation devices
• Support new equipment installations, automation upgrades, and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience maintaining industrial controls and automation systems in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems
• Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment and electrical control circuits
• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or Mitsubishi PLC platforms
• Familiarity with robotics, servo systems, vision systems, and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, etc.)
