  • Provision servers, controllers, industrial PCs, and network configurations.
  • Test communication between third-party devices, controllers, and servers.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel drawings.
  • Assist with commissioning, system-level testing, and startup activities.
  • Support low-voltage electrical contractors performing wiring and field device installations.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, including red-lined drawings and configuration records.
  • Follow established change management procedures and prepare work requests and method-of-procedure documentation.
  • Participate in factory acceptance testing and vendor equipment testing.
  • Perform root cause analysis during testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system design, reliability, and operation.
  • Help train and mentor facilities personnel on BMS and EPMS operation.
  • Support service agreements, vendor scheduling, quality assurance, and invoice review.
  • Monitor service requests, prioritize tasks, and respond to operational issues.
  • Follow established safety procedures and ensure safe work practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies when required.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Technical diploma, military technical training, trade school diploma, or associate degree, with at least one year of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls or equivalent electrical or mechanical operations experience.
  • At least one year of experience working with computer components and operating systems.
  • At least one year of experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical systems and/or mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of industrial control systems, controllers, and programming.
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial control systems, including analog and discrete signals and industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS.
  • Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle equipment, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
  • Ability to walk on job sites with uneven terrain and work at heights or from ladders.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 49 pounds and participate in team lifts involving 50 pounds or more.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of relevant experience in a data center or other critical environment.
  • International Society of Automation (ISA) Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) Level I or higher certification.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network design, network layouts, and low-voltage copper or fiber cabling.
  • Experience with building automation, electrical monitoring, industrial controls, or mission-critical infrastructure.

Work Environment

This position involves working in data center facilities and construction environments. Candidates should be comfortable working around electrical and mechanical equipment, performing hands-on technical work, and following strict safety and operational procedures.
