Convenience Store Sales Associate

Job Summary

As a Convenience Store Sales Associate, you’ll keep daily store operations moving and make every customer interaction helpful and welcoming. You’ll process purchases, maintain well-stocked and appealing shelves, and share product information that helps customers choose what they need. Your impact: Accurate, friendly service helps customers complete purchases smoothly and find products with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive customer service, communicate clearly, and use professional phone etiquette.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and cash register; process retail sales transactions, handle cash and the cash drawer, and complete cashiering tasks accurately.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and support merchandising to keep products available and easy to find.
• Build retail store product knowledge, answer questions, demonstrate products when appropriate, and use thoughtful upselling to support sales.
• Apply basic math and retail math during transactions; help supervise store activities when assigned.

Requirements

• Customer service, communication skills, and comfort with cash handling and cash drawer procedures.
• Ability to learn POS tools, cash register operations, stocking routines, merchandising, and retail sales transactions.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail; retail sales or grocery store experience is helpful.
• Supervising experience and product demos are preferred, not required.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Pay: $15.15 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
