Converting Line Operator

Job Overview

The Operator is responsible for Elsner Converting Line, an automated re-winder, slitter and perforator for towel wipes. Converts large master rolls of fabric into smaller rolls, which are then inserted into our wipes canisters or packaged in cartons. This position is responsible for trouble shooting and resolving issues by performing a range of activities with the converting machine and secondary equipment to ensure it is functioning to its best capacity.

Duties

• This position will be responsible for changeovers on machines.
• Master material roll changes.
• Repairs and adjustments to machine.
• Will need to be able to do basic trouble shooting, processing and mechanical adjustments.
• Assist with preventative maintenance to help improve safety involving the machine.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate production paperwork and ensuring product meets quality standards.
• Responsible for packaging of finished product.
• Lead production packers assigned to the Elsner line.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge or ability to understand Elsner converting machine operation.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Good troubleshooting skills for resolving equipment issues efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions effectively.
• Must be able to successfully complete company sponsored forklift certification
• Must complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) Training and adhere to all company safety protocols
• Must complete a Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test as part of the application process

Pay: $19.43 - $22.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
