The Production Scheduler in Converting Department will be in charge of scheduling all work orders for the converting department based on the equipment capabilities and availability of machines. Candidate will also assist in the clerical tasks needed by the converting department as well as entering production data and issuing reports about it. A successful candidate must have basic math skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work together with CSR’s, sales reps and Supervisors and Managers from the Converting Dept and other departments.

Responsibilities:

· Gather daily production reports first thing in the morning from all machines in the bag, target and slitting departments.

· Review reports and confirm production numbers reported match with the physical case numbers available by the side of the machine until the night shift stopped production and reported it.

· Identify any finished product pallets in the production floor or warehouse without any labels or pallet tags to ensure they get tagged properly before passing to shipping department.

· Submit copies from all production reports gathered to accounting department, converting Manager and VP of Manufacturing.

· Enter production numbers from daily production reports on the daily converting schedule and the data entry file.

· Do the production schedule by itself if needed, or with the Converting Manager and/or the VP of Manufacturing if available or needed.

· Review the extrusion and press schedules to confirm film availability, as well as BL’s for film coming from outside.

· Schedule all jobs properly based on machine capabilities and machine availability. Prioritize jobs based on CSR or sales reps requested needs, or by due date.

· Review any questions with Converting Manager or VP of Manufacturing.

· Clarify any capabilities with Converting Supervisor or Foremen.

· Send daily converting schedule to all parties involved no later than 10:00 am daily.

· Review all information entered on the production report file to ensure there are no mistakes or typos and numbers make sense. Confirm once all information is correct with no mistakes and submit report to Converting Manager for review.

· Enter and review the production order for all orders into the order data file.

· Close out finished orders and enter into closed orders file.

· Assist in filing closed orders if needed.

· Fill out any reports needed in the Converting department and requested by Converting Manager.

· Comply daily with all regulatory and food safety requirements.

· Assist with yearly food safety audit preparation as needed.

· Any other responsibilities required by Converting Management.

· Adhere to approved schedule.

Requirements:

· Clerical experience at least for 1 year

· Basic math knowledge

· High school diploma at least

· Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge (especially in excel)

· Good organizational and communication skills.

· Attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
