About the role

NEPEAN Belting is looking for a experienced Belting Splicers to relocate and join our growing Mackay team in Queensland. Based at Slade Point, these roles involve working both in our branch and across mine sites delivering high-quality conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance
• Working across workshop and mine site environments
• Conducting belt and conveyor system inspections
• Supporting breakdown and scheduled maintenance work
• Ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to high-quality standards
• Completing job documentation and site paperwork
• Assisting in mentoring apprentices and junior splicers

About you

• Experience with conveyor systems and belt maintenance
• Cert II in Polymer Processing (Belt Splicing) minimum
• Current Driver's Licence (MR preferred)
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Underground coal mine experience (Preferred)
• Level 3 Belt Splicer highly regarded
• Supervisory experience advantageous
• Working at Heights ticket (Desirable)
