What they need
Company: The Lost Boys Co., Ltd. Location: Bangkok (Head office near Thonglor/Sukhumvit; travel required to all branches) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: ฿80,000–120,000/month (negotiable based on experience) + performance bonus Reports to: Company Owners
About Us
The Lost Boys Co., Ltd., operates one of Bangkok's established licensed medical cannabis dispensary chains, with 6 branches across the city: Sathorn, On Nut, Sukhumvit 34, Ekkamai, Thonglor, and Sukhumvit 26. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager/CEO to take full ownership of day-to-day operations so the owners can focus on strategy and growth, including planned expansion beyond Bangkok.
The Role
You will run the business end-to-end, covering operations, compliance, HR, finance liaison, and vendor management, across all current branches and any future locations. This is a hands-on operating role, not a strategic advisory position. You will be the single point of accountability for keeping the business compliant, staffed, stocked, and profitable.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across all 6 (and future) branches, including staffing, stock levels, customer experience, and store standards
- Manage inventory and stock transfers between branches; work with POS systems (Qashier) for sales, inventory, and reporting
- Set and monitor pricing, discounting discipline, and promotions across branches
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships (cannabis sourcing, packaging, equipment)
Regulatory & Government Compliance
- Own all regulatory compliance under Thailand's cannabis control framework, including monthly PT27 and PT28 reporting and oversight of PT33 prescription processes
- Liaise directly with the Thai FDA, DTAM (Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine), and other relevant government bodies
- Manage license renewals and inspections across all branches; ensure no lapses in licensing
- Respond to and manage any regulatory actions, disputes, or appeals (e.g. license suspensions), coordinating with legal counsel as needed
- Ensure GACP-compliant sourcing and full audit trail for all cannabis products
Security & Risk Management
- Oversee cash-handling procedures, safe access controls, and loss prevention across all branches
- Manage CCTV and security systems; investigate and report discrepancies or incidents
- Liaise with insurers on business, property, and liability coverage
Systems & Technology
- Own and maintain internal operational systems and digital tools, including POS/inventory (Qashier), loyalty programs, online/delivery ordering pages, and staff compliance tracking tools
- Evaluate and implement new systems or process improvements as the business grows
Finance & Administration
- Liaise with external accountants on monthly bookkeeping, tax filings, and financial reporting
- Manage payroll, budgets, and cost control across branches
- Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to the owners
HR & Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage branch managers and budtender staff
- Enforce SOPs, staff conduct policies, and labor law compliance (Thai Labor Protection Act)
- Handle staff discipline, grievances, and performance management
Project Management
- Lead new branch openings and expansion projects (Bangkok and upcountry)
- Manage cross-functional projects (loyalty programs, new systems, marketing initiatives) from planning through execution
Other
- Perform other duties reasonably related to running the business as directed by the owners
Requirements
- Thai national (required)
- Fluent in Thai and English (spoken and written): you'll deal with government agencies in Thai and report to owners in English
- Minimum 5 years in a senior operations/management role; multi-site retail, F&B, or hospitality management experience strongly preferred
- Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred but not required: familiarity with PT27/PT28/PT33 processes, DTAM compliance, and the Thai cannabis regulatory framework is a major advantage
- Proven experience managing relationships with government agencies and regulators
- Experience working with external accountants/auditors and understanding of basic financial statements and budgeting
- Strong people management skills, with a track record of managing teams of 15+ across multiple locations
- Comfortable with POS/inventory systems and general business software (Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets)
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable with a high level of ownership and accountability
- Discreet and trustworthy: this role has direct access to cash, inventory, and sensitive compliance records
What We Offer
- Competitive salary (฿80,000–120,000/month) + performance-based bonus
- Direct ownership over the operations of a fast-growing, multi-site licensed cannabis business
- Opportunity to shape the company's expansion into new cities
- Direct line to company owners, with high autonomy and minimal bureaucracy
How to Apply
Please submit your CV along with a brief cover note outlining your relevant experience in retail/multi-site operations and, if applicable, cannabis industry or regulatory compliance experience.
