About the Role As an Aged Care Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring the dietary, nutritional and individual needs of residents are met.
You will work as part of a supportive kitchen team and be expected to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
To Be Successful, You Must Have:

• Previous experience working as a Cook in an aged care setting – essential
• Relevant cooking qualifications/certificates
• Current Food Safety / Food Handling certification
• Current First Aid certificate
• Understanding of texture-modified diets and special dietary requirements
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and infection-control procedures
• Ability to follow menus, recipes and dietary requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A caring and respectful approach when working around elderly residents
• Strong reliability and the ability to work independently
• Current police check and other relevant compliance documents as required
