Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring high quality and presentation standards
• Cook and assemble food items such as sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and light snacks following established recipes and food safety guidelines
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, give correct change, and maintain accurate cash handling records
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, beverage stations, dining space, and equipment cleaning in accordance with health regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus
• Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques and food handling safety protocols
• Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; strong cash handling skills required
• Ability to perform basic math for order processing and cash transactions accurately
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in food industry settings
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks including lifting supplies and cleaning equipment
