About the Opportunity

Quantum Care Place of El Dorado Hills is seeking a Cook to prepare appetizing, nutritious meals and support a clean, safe, resident-focused dining operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve menu items in appropriate quantities, portions, temperatures, and presentation.
• Prepare snacks and support timely meal service for residents, visitors, and team members.
• Check diet trays and report food-quality or diet-order concerns to the culinary leader.
• Receive deliveries, maintain inventory, and support adequate supplies for daily operations.
• Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, freezers, equipment, kitchen, and dining areas.
• Wash, dry, and store utensils, dishes, trays, and supplies.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, infection-control, safety, and waste-disposal procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred or required by facility policy.
• Food-service, culinary, healthcare, senior-living, or institutional-kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, safe food handling, and basic kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform basic math for portions and measurements.
• Tactful, respectful communication with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday and lift, push, pull, or carry at least 30 pounds.
• Availability for weekends, holidays, nights, or other hours as facility needs require.
