About the role

Maju Operations and Development (KULT Cafe & Shop) is seeking an experienced Cook to join our dynamic hospitality team in Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced culinary environment, preparing high-quality dishes and contributing to exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This role is essential to maintaining the standards of our food service operations and plays a vital part in delivering memorable meals that define our hospitality offering.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, quality standards and presentation guidelines
• Manage food preparation stations, ensuring efficiency and consistency in dish preparation
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with local health regulations and company policies
• Monitor inventory of ingredients and cooking supplies, reporting shortages to management
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery
• Plate and present dishes to meet company standards and guest expectations
• Adapt to menu changes and special dietary requirements as requested
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cooking stations and kitchen equipment
• Follow portion control procedures to minimise waste and manage food costs effectively

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Cook in a professional kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary best practices
• Excellent understanding of food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality standards
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail and commitment to consistent plate presentation
• Flexibility to adapt to changing menu requirements and kitchen demands
• Experience with local Indonesian cuisine or regional cooking styles is advantageous
