About the role
Cook at Tumboo Canteen, responsible for preparing and cooking daily meals according to Tumboo recipes, SOPs, and portion standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook daily meals according to Tumboo recipes, SOPs, and portion standards
- Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency are maintained
- Prepare ingredients, including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and other mise en place
- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures
- Ensure all food is cooked properly and served according to the required portion
- Assist with catering and daily meal preparation
- Check food quality and ingredients before production and report any issues to the Head Cook
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment
- Support stock checking and minimize food waste
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure daily orders and catering are prepared correctly and on time
