Manawa Community Living Center is currently hiring for a cook position.

We are looking for a candidate that has a passion for food service and wants to prepare high quality meals for our residents.

1. Full-time evening shift 12 PM - 8 PM schedule (32 hours per week)

This role has the opportunity to become full time

Rotating weekends and holidays will be part of set schedule

Job Duties

• Cook meals based on menu.
• Follow modified dietary orders for individual residents. Examples: Puree, Minced & Moist, Thickened Liquids, Low Sodium, ect.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining room space
• Prepare snack carts/water pitchers
• Prepare foods for next day based on menu
• Washing Dishes
• Ability to work independently or with the assistance of others as scheduled

Reports To

Cooks report directly to the dietary manager/lead cook

Availability

• Weekdays
• Rotating Holidays
• 12 PM - 8 PM

Experience

• Prior skilled nursing or assisted living experience helpful
• Prior experience working as a line cook REQUIRED
• Servsafe helpful
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment REQUIRED
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen REQUIRED

Wage is based on experience and education.
