Chesterton Manor is seeking a dependable and motivated Evening Cook to join our skilled nursing facility team. This role requires flexibility and the ability to perform both cook and dietary aide responsibilities during the assigned shift to ensure high-quality meal service and a clean, safe dietary environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Cook Duties

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and portion control guidelines
• Plan food production to meet established meal service schedules
• Follow standard recipes and prescribed special diet orders
• Ensure proper food presentation, portioning, and plate appearance
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain compliance with all sanitation, safety, and food service regulations
• Assist with dietary aide duties as needed during scheduled shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Preferred: One (1) year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or healthcare setting
• Culinary school training preferred, but not required
• Ability to perform both cook and dietary aide functions as needed
