Continental Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of continental dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes, quality standards, and portion requirements. The role involves ensuring that all meals are fresh, well-presented, properly cooked, and served on time while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook continental dishes according to approved recipes.
• Ensure proper portioning, taste, presentation, and consistency of meals.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, sauces, pasta, rice, and other food items.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Minimize food wastage through proper preparation and portion control.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served within the required time.
• Keep cooking equipment, utensils, and work areas clean and properly maintained.
• Follow food safety and health regulations at all times.
• Report shortages, damaged ingredients, or faulty kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
• Assist with stock counting and monitoring of kitchen supplies.
• Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow company policies and instructions from the Head Chef and Production Manager

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience
• A minimum of an HND in a related field
