Duties

• Food preparation for breakfast and lunch
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces,setting tables, pouring juices and disposing of waste properly
• Handle food safety procedures in accordance with health regulations to ensure safe food handling practices
• Support overall restaurant operations by assisting with cleaning duties, stock replenishment, and organizing supplies

Skills

• Previous retirement home or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; eagerness to learn is highly valued
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and resident interactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and meal preparation techniques
• Hospitality or retirement home experience can be advantageous for understanding resident service expectations
