Job Summary

Serenity Estates of Lena, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals to our residents. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
• Order and inventory food and supplies, ensuring that we are always stocked and ready to serve
• Collaborate with our dietary Manager and team to plan and execute special events and functions
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, family members, and visitors
• Report to the Dietary Manager

Requirements

• Prefer experience in a commercial kitchen or skilled nursing facility but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or willingness to obtain one.
