Position Overview

Sushi Jet Fredericton is looking for reliable and hardworking Cooks to join our kitchen team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items efficiently and consistently while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Sushi Jet recipes and standards
• Set up and maintain an organized workstation before and during service
• Prepare ingredients and complete daily food prep as required
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Keep kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas clean and organized
• Monitor ingredients and notify the team when supplies need to be restocked
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
• Work closely with sushi bar, servers, food runners, and other kitchen staff during service
• Help with cleaning and other kitchen duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset, but training can be provided
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Attention to cleanliness, food quality, and detail
• Ability to follow instructions and established recipes
• Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts
• Willingness to learn and take on different kitchen responsibilities

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
