Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cook to join our team in preparing nutritious and delicious school meals. This role involves following established recipes, food preparation, and cooking to ensure high-quality meals for students. The position offers a consistent schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays required, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking stable daytime hours in a school food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to provided recipes to maintain consistency and quality of meals
• Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized procedures
• Cook and serve food efficiently while ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met
• Assist with food service operations, including plating and distribution of meals
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is preferred, especially within a school or institutional setting
• Food service experience demonstrating the ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently under time constraints is desirable
• Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards is beneficial

Pay: $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
