As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring that all food follows company recipes and that safety and hygiene standards are met. Duties

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
• Manage food preparation tasks efficiently, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
• A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
