Job Responsibilities

Mandatory requirement: Servsafe Certification

● Complies with and coordinates compliance with standards and procedures of food storage, preparation, food service, equipment and department sanitation, and employee safety.

● Confers with Dietary Manager to ensure that menus conform to nutritional standards and Government regulations.

● Tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and appearance standards.

● Assist the Dietary Manager and/or Dietitian in directing the activities of the dietary associates.

● Review regular and therapeutic menus prior to menu and food preparation, review and process non-therapeutic diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

● Coordinate dietary services with Nursing and Activities departments.

● Attends meetings with the Dietary Manager to discuss regulations, procedures,

grievances, and recommendations for improving food service.

● Prepares and cooks meals and snacks as needed in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager.

● Promptly reports any accident or disruptive incident to the Dietary Manager.

● Be familiar with, and adhere to the policy of strict confidentiality with regard to

resident information following HIPAA regulations.

● Be familiar with, and be able to follow the facilities accident prevention, fire safety, safety rules, and emergency procedures.

● Know the Residents Bill of Rights and assist residents in exercising those rights.

● Participate in any required job-related education or training.

● May be assigned other responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
