About the role

We are looking for an experienced, talented and reliable cook to provide wonderful meals and home baking for our residents. This is a full-time role working four days per week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and occasionally covering other days as required. Hours of work are 6:45am to 5:15pm with a 45 min unpaid meal break.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing individual, tasty and appetising meals for our residents, with an emphasis on simple, wholesome home cooking
• Home baking
• Running an efficient, hygienic and productive kitchen

About you

• Experience cooking home-style meals for up to 70 people
• Completed Unit Standards 167 and 168, or be in the process of working towards them
• Experience with food control plans and documentation
• Experience catering for varying dietary needs
• Reliability, with a cheerful and positive attitude
• A team player
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
