The Landing at Cedar Ridge – Frazeysburg, Ohio

The Landing at Cedar Ridge is seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced Cook to join our residential treatment team.

We are looking for someone who truly knows how to operate a kitchen. This position requires more than simply preparing meals. The right person will take ownership of the kitchen, maintain a clean and organized workspace, follow established menus, monitor food inventory, and help ensure our residents receive consistent, well-prepared meals each day.

What We Need

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

• Can cook and is comfortable preparing meals for a group

• Can follow an established menu and recipes as written

• Understands portion control and responsible food usage

• Takes cleanliness seriously and maintains a clean kitchen throughout the entire shift

• Is highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks without constant supervision

• Completes daily food and supply inventories accurately and legibly

• Communicates when food or supplies are running low before they become an emergency

• Properly stores, labels, rotates, and organizes food

• Understands basic food safety and sanitation practices

• Cleans as they work rather than leaving the kitchen for someone else to clean

• Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work when scheduled

Responsibilities

The Cook will be responsible for:

• Preparing scheduled meals according to the approved menu

• Ensuring meals are prepared on time and in appropriate quantities

• Following recipes, menus, and portion guidelines consistently

• Completing daily inventory of food and kitchen supplies

• Monitoring food usage and helping reduce unnecessary waste

• Keeping refrigerators, freezers, pantry areas, counters, equipment, and food storage areas clean and organized

• Rotating inventory and monitoring expiration dates

• Reporting needed food and supplies in a timely manner

• Completing all required kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties before the end of the shift

• Following health, safety, and food-handling requirements

• Working respectfully with residents and other members of the Cedar Ridge team

A successful Cook at The Landing takes pride in their kitchen. The menu is followed, meals are prepared correctly and on time, inventory is accurate, food waste is controlled, and the kitchen is left clean and organized every day.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys cooking but also appreciates structure, routine, accountability, and keeping things in order.
