The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and food safety, with experience working in fine dining, catering, or the food service industry. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality meals while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines
• Assist with menu planning to ensure variety and nutritional balance
• Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene standards during all stages of food preparation
• Serve food to customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Manage food handling procedures, including storage, sanitation, and inventory control
• Support catering events by preparing dishes and coordinating meal service
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal delivery

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide preferred
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
• Skilled in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
• Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation standards
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
• Background in the food industry, including restaurant or culinary experience
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Knowledge of catering services and serving protocols is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.74 per hour
