Assisted Living Cook

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and caring Cook to join our assisted living community.

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:00 PM

NO weekends NO holidays!

This position is the sole kitchen staff member, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for our residents
• Plan weekly menus and accommodate resident dietary needs
• Order groceries and kitchen supplies
• Maintain food inventory and minimize waste
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Wisconsin assisted living regulations
• Properly store, label, date, and rotate food
• Maintain required food-temperature and kitchen records
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs
• Communicate with management regarding menus, supplies, and resident preferences

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred
• Assisted living, senior care, healthcare, or institutional cooking experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Comfortable managing all aspects of a small assisted living kitchen
