We’re on the hunt for a talented Chef / Cook to join our busy country Motel & Tavern in Capella, Central Queensland. If you love great food, fast service, and a kitchen that actually feels like a team — you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

• Cook a wide range of dishes with consistency, flavour and flair
• Inspect and quality‑check all incoming food deliveries
• Master the ovens, grills, fryers and equipment like a true kitchen pro
• Plate meals with precision and presentation pride
• Check and maintain food quality, storage and safety standards
• Run equipment temps and keep the kitchen humming
• Adapt meals for dietary needs
• Season, taste, adjust and perfect every plate
• Help with menu planning, recipe development and forecasting
• Support the Head chef and other cooks / chefs
• Report to the Head Chef and keep communication flowing

What You’ll Do

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef / Cook
• Cert III in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
• Current Food Safety Certificates
• Strong organisation, time management and multi‑tasking skills
• Great communication and teamwork
• Ability to work night shifts
