Cook – Senior Living Community

We are looking for a dependable, caring, and talented Cook to join our senior living community at Riverside Commons! In this role, you’ll do much more than prepare great food—you’ll help create an enjoyable dining experience that residents look forward to each day.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve attractive, flavorful meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
• Follow resident-specific diets, food textures, allergies, and nutritional requirements
• Ensure meals are prepared and served at the proper temperature and on schedule
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Follow food safety, infection-control, and proper food-storage procedures
• Assist with inventory, food rotation, and minimizing waste
• Communicate effectively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and community leadership
• Help create a welcoming dining experience for our residents
• Step in wherever needed to support the dietary team

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cooking experience preferred; senior living, healthcare, restaurant, or institutional cooking experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special-diet instructions
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced kitchen
• A positive attitude and genuine respect for older adults
• ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required
