Duties

• Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and dietary requirements
• Prepare and cook a variety of foods with precision, utilizing knife skills and culinary techniques learned from restaurant or food industry experience
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen

• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and coordinating meal presentation
• Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, restocking as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide, with knowledge of special diet accommodations
• Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques common in fine dining or restaurant settings
• Familiarity with food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Experience in catering and serving large groups or special events
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
