Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook at our assisted living community, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals tailored to their dietary needs and preferences. Your culinary expertise and passion for cooking will contribute to creating a pleasant dining experience for our residents.Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and consistency.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
• Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary requirements.
• Assist in menu planning and development.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals to meet dietary guidelines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
• Criminal background clearance pass required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
