Benefit Meals is looking for a dependable and hardworking Cook to join our kitchen team!

Our kitchen is not a traditional restaurant kitchen. We don't cook meals to order, there are no tickets constantly printing, and we're not making individual dishes one at a time. Instead, we prepare prepared meals in bulk based on our production needs.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, staying organized, and preparing large quantities of quality food.

Responsibilities

• Cook bulk quantities of meats, vegetables, and starches
• Cut and prepare proteins, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Operate kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, and flat-tops
• Follow recipes and portioning guidelines to maintain consistency
• Plate and portion prepared meals
• Assist with general kitchen tasks and keeping the kitchen clean and organized
• Work efficiently as part of a team to complete daily meal production

What We're Looking For

• Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred
• Comfortable working with commercial kitchen equipment
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well with a team
• Comfortable preparing food in large quantities

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
