Bombay Dhaba is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals while maintaining food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards in a busy restaurant environment.

Job Responsibility

Responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting meals according to menu requirements and quality standards.

Duties

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to menu requirements
• Preparing, seasoning and portioning ingredients
• Ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation
• Checking the quality and freshness of food ingredients
• Operating ovens, grills, fryers, stovetops and other commercial cooking equipment
• Monitoring cooking temperatures and ensuring food is properly cooked
• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
• Storing food and ingredients safely and following stock rotation procedures
• Monitoring food supplies and assisting with stock control
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen work areas and equipment
• Assisting with daily kitchen operations and service periods
• Working effectively with kitchen staff during busy service periods

Qualification

• AQF Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook
• Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen hygiene
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen environment

Salary

• $75,000 – $80,000 per annum + Superannuation

Employment Condition

• Full Time
• 38 hours per week

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
