Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and menu specifications
• Assist in planning menus that meet nutritional standards and accommodate special dietary needs
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation throughout all food handling processes
• Support kitchen operations by performing food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and cooking using proper knife skills and techniques
• Serve meals efficiently and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests or residents
• Manage food inventory levels, monitor expiration dates, and assist with ordering supplies as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold quality standards in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a food industry or restaurant setting
• Knowledge of menu planning, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with fine dining or catering environments is a plus
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Exceptional serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Servsafe Preferred

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
