We are a vibrant Italian restaurant located in Freshwater dedicated to bringing the rich culinary traditions of Rome to our guests. Our menu showcases classic Roman dishes made with fresh, high- quality ingredients and traditional recipes. Key Responsibilities:

• ● Inspecting ingredients and food products to maintain quality standards.
• ● Controlling the temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances.
• ● Preparing, cooking, and flavouring dishes as needed.
• ● Portioning and plating meals, including adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
• ● Storing food properly in temperature-controlled conditions.
• ● Preparing meals that accommodate special dietary needs.
• ● Possibly assisting in menu planning and estimating ingredient requirements.
• ● Providing guidance and training to kitchen staff and apprentices when necessary
• Qualifications & Skills:
• ● AQF Certificate III with a minimum of one year of experience, or AQF Certificate IV
• ● Strong understanding of food safety and quality control.
• ● Ability to operate and manage kitchen equipment efficiently.
• ● Expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• ● Capability to work effectively in a high-pressure kitchen setting.
• ● Attention to detail in meal presentation and portioning.
• ● Knowledge of dietary restrictions and meal modifications.
• ● Experience in menu development and food cost planning (preferred).
• ● Leadership and training skills to support and mentor kitchen staff.

Pay: $79,423.00 – $82,000.00 per year
